Introduction to West African Food

Sunday February 18| 3pm-6pm | Seasoned Farmhouse

Within this region there are a plethora of ethnic groups. In addition, the west coast of Africa was colonized by several European countries. Although some dishes are indigenous to the region, a lot of adaptation has occurred to create a blend of foods. We will explore three of these indigenous foods that can be found across several of the countries and two blended foods that resulted from colonization. Join me as we journey to the west coast of Africa.

West African Street Food

Sunday March 4| 3pm-5pm | Seasoned Farmhouse

You will savor the flavors of finger foods found on the busy streets of Accra, Ghana where I was born and immigrated from 23 years ago. Over the years I’ve learned that certain foods have universality. Be it meat on a stick, deep fried wings, fries, or corn dogs, street food is a delight no matter what part of the world you find yourself in. We will recreate some of the foods found on the busy streets of Accra, Ghana during an evening out.
